"I draw from the legacy of Modernism and the long tradition of Abstraction that came before . Abstraction can be a pattern or a symbol system. It can be used for protection, ritual, meditation, and adornment. Like it's ability to shift in purpose and meaning and it's power to communicate a multiplicity of ideas at once. Abstraction sparks the spirit of curiosity and freedom in the studio and drives my practice."
