Andrea Hazel, Limited Edition Print: Choppin' Up Some Wood

Regular price $150.00

My purpose is to portray the beauty and color in our world and its people, especially in the South Carolina Lowcountry, as I experience them with my eyes and within my heart.” - Andrea Hazel

Hazel was born in Charleston, SC where she still resides. After years of teaching and running her own business, Andrea Hazel Photography, she began painting in 2001 and has been immersed in watercolors ever since. Her latest series entitled “How It Was...Charleston in 1963,” depicts scenes of homes and communities that have been demolished and displaced in the wake of Charleston’s rapid growth and development. “The idea was not to point a finger and blame, but to show what happened, and to remember these places,” she has said.

Hazel is a member of the Southern Watercolor Society, the South Carolina Watermedia Society, and the Charleston Artist Guild. Her work is currently on view at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery.
