Work of the Week
These are challenging times for our entire community, including our wonderful visual artists. Part of what makes the Gibbes so special is our partnerships with these artists. Through our Gibbes Visiting Artist Residency Program, we showcase the creative process. We believe that our creative community enables us to understand art beyond the aesthetic through the creative process. The visual arts can provide the safe space for challenging discourse. Therefore, while we appreciate the support you are able to provide the Museum now more than ever, we ask you not to forget our wonderful artists. We often say, “art is the reason” so perhaps in this time to consider investing in a work of art by our talented and accomplished visiting artists through our “Work of the Week” offerings.
