This full-color coffee table book features the artwork of Charleston, SC local and self-taught surrealist artist Richard “Duke” Hagerty. A retired plastic surgeon and former member of city council, Hagerty has shown more than 50 exhibitions in his 40-year career. He's best-known for his work designing posters for the annual Piccolo Spoleto Festival. The book features more than 275 original artworks including color reproductions and black & white sketches, with an essay by art historian Roberta Sokolitz and an interview with writer Gary Smith.
