The artisans featured in the Museum Store frequently create exclusive collections based on the Gibbes’ permanent collection. The results are always so special and truly one-of-a-kind. Our newest vendor in the Museum Store is Heather Freeman of @queenscoastdesigns. Each design is unique and handmade in Charleston, SC.
Pictured is the result of a recent walk through of the museum. Freeman was drawn to a silkscreen by Jasper Johns currently on view in the second floor permanent collection galleries, "The Dutch Wives." The cool tones and sporadic mark-making inspired the aesthetic of the surfaces now available in the Museum Store. The surfaces can be used to hold drinks, jewelry, vases, candles, a bottle of wine, or just to sit and look pretty on your table as a stack of art.
Set of four. Available in both circle and hexagon shapes.
